Composite decking in Perth

Composite decking suits homeowners who want a crisp, consistent finish without regular oiling. We install capped composite boards on properly designed frames, with hidden fixings and clean edge details, and we're straightforward about the trade-offs.

Why it’s worth doing well

No oiling

An occasional wash is usually all it needs to stay looking clean.

Consistent finish

Even colour and grain from board to board, with matching fascia and step boards.

Hidden fixings

Clip systems give an uninterrupted surface with no visible screws.

Long manufacturer warranties

Most major brands carry long product warranties. We'll explain what's covered.

Materials

What we work with

We’ll bring samples to the site visit so you can see colour and grain in your own light. Compare materials.

Capped composite
A protective outer shell resists staining and fading. The most common choice for residential decks.
Lighter colours
Stay noticeably cooler underfoot in summer than dark greys and browns.
Aluminium or steel framing
An option for low-clearance or long-life builds, and a good match for composite boards.

FAQ

Composite decking questions

Does composite decking get hot?

All decking warms up in the sun, and dark composite can get very hot. Lighter colours and newer heat-reflective boards help. We'll show you samples in your actual position.

Is composite more expensive than timber?

It usually sits between treated pine and premium hardwoods for the boards themselves, but it saves on oiling over the life of the deck.

Can composite go over my existing timber frame?

Sometimes. Composite often needs closer joist spacing than timber, so an existing frame may need adjusting. We check this on site.
